The Air Jordan 12 was released in 1996. The AJ12 is the first pair of zoom air cushion Jordan shoes. Since then, zoom air cushion has been used in most of Jordan shoes. The stitching on the sides of the shoe resembles sunlight, incorporating a design inspired by the rising sun of the Japanese flag.
